Musicfest Northwest Winners!

Master Teacher Scott Grunsted: Producing Gold Winners for 23 Years!

Marie Zaragoza
(18 years old, right) won gold at Musicfest Northwest in 2018 performing Concerto No. 3, 3rd Movement (Mozart) after placing 5th in the Idaho State Solo and Ensemble Festival in 2017 and achieving a 97% score at Musicfest with a certificate of merit in the open violin sonata category, playing the Sonata in A, 3rd Movement (Franck).

Clare Freeman
(15 years old, left) won gold at Musicfest Northwest in 2018 performing Sonata  No. 3, 4th movement (Brahms). In 2017 she won a gold medal and certificate of merit in the open violin sonata category, playing the Sonata No. 3, 1st Movement (Grieg).

Abigail Stephens
(13 years old, center) accomplished a 95% at Musicfest Northwest in 2018 performing "Roundtable Rival" by Lindsey Stirling in addition to an 89% performing Sonata No. 3, 1st Movement (Grieg) . In 2017 she achieved a 100% score (gold) in the contemporary violin category . Her performance included costume and dance choreography with an artistic rendition of Lindsey Stirling’s Master of Tides. She also received a 93% score in the unaccompanied Bach category.


Kytelin Craner won gold at Musicfest Northwest in 2018 for her original composition "The Music Box" and a 95% performing "Gavi's Song" by Lindsey Stirling.

 

Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy's string ensemble "Rosinance" directed by Mr. Grunsted won gold at Musicfest Northwest in 2018 performing Mendelsson's Octet in Eb Major, 1st Movement, with nine total players.
